Laboratory

Arfa Iron and Steel’s Lab complex consists of two central laboratories: a central laboratory and a steelmaking laboratory. In the central laboratory, chemical and physical tests are conducted to control the quality of all the raw materials, intermediate materials, process waters, and different gases used in direct reduction process.
In sample preparation section, solid input materials with a diameter of more than 9 centimetres turn into particles smaller than 74 microns. In analysis section, applying ISO and ASTM methods and by instruments such as ICP, XRF, GC, Hach, TGA, etc, chemical composition of various materials is determined.
In steelmaking laboratory, using Spark Emission Spectroscopy (SES) method, chemical composition of the molten samples is determined.
