Laboratory

The Arfa Iron and Steel Laboratories complex consists of two central laboratories: a central laboratory and a steelmaking laboratory. In the central laboratory, chemical and physical tests are conducted to control the quality of all raw materials, intermediate materials, process waters, and process gases directly.

In the sample preparation section, solid input materials with a diameter larger than 9 centimeters are transformed into particles smaller than 74 microns. In the analysis section, the chemical composition of various materials is determined using ISO and ASTM methods and instruments such as ICP, XRF, GC, Hach, TGA, etc.

In the steelmaking laboratory, the chemical composition of molten samples is determined using Spark Emission Spectroscopy (SES) method.
